The Detroit Institute of Arts held a competition for a temporary miniature golf course to be created on its grounds in summer 2007. This design is relatively simple, based on the epic proportion of the Golden Ratio. This ratio, recognized as pleasant by the human eye and utilized by humans for centuries, is here manipulated to form an inward spiraling mini golf hole.
